Platform/Infrastructure Engineer

Our client, a growing technology company, is seeking an experienced Platform / Infrastructure Engineer with deep Azure expertise to support and optimize its cloud infrastructure. This is a hands-on role spanning infrastructure-as-code, database operations, observability, security, and platform performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Azure infrastructure, including VNets, security groups, AKS and/or App Services, Azure SQL, managed identity, and Key Vault.
  • Build, maintain, and refactor infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and/or Bicep.
  • Manage advanced Cloudflare configurations, including WAF rules, Workers integrations, caching, and DDoS protection.
  • Support Azure SQL performance tuning, backup and recovery, high availability, and failover testing.
  • Implement observability and actionable alerting using Application Insights or similar tools.
  • Support vulnerability scanning, patch management, audit logging, load balancing, and auto-scaling.
  • Ensure appropriate handling of PII and sensitive data, including encryption, access controls, data residency, and audit trails.

Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of relevant infrastructure, platform, or cloud engineering experience.
  • 2+ years of deep hands-on Azure experience preferred.
  • Strong Terraform and/or Bicep experience in Azure environments.
  • Experience with Cloudflare, Azure SQL, and Application Insights or similar observability tools.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security and infrastructure supporting PII or sensitive data.
  • Experience with Azure Load Balancer and/or Application Gateway and auto-scaling.

Compensation & Schedule

Compensation range is based on experience and will be discussed upon qualification
