Sr. DBA/ETL engineer
Sr. Database Administrator / ETL Developer We are currently seeking a database administrator with experience in defining and administering database solutions in a distributed application environment. Candidates should have extensive hands[1]on database administration experience and be well versed in industry standard database design practices and administration processes. Strong written and oral communication skills are essential and candidates should be self-directed and motivated to work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment.
Major responsibilities include:
· Logical and physical database design of systems, including OLTP, data warehousing and business intelligence
· Administration of a relational databases (MySQL) and a NoSQL databases (time-series preferred)
· Hands-on development of ETL, internal/external data feeds and reporting solutions
· Support of critical production systems, including off-hours support Location: Princeton, NJ Organizational Structure: The Sr. Database Administrator / ETL Developer will report directly to the Sr. VP of Business Systems Development.
Qualifications:
· Deep experience in database design, data modeling, capacity planning, performance tuning, archival and backup/recovery processes and disaster recovery design across multiple RDBMS platforms such as MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, etc.
· Expertise with time series databases such as OneTick or KDB is a major plus
· Experience with a business intelligence tool such as Business Objects or similar · Advanced SQL knowledge
· Good knowledge of Linux/UNIX and Shell Scripting
· Extensive hands on database administration and development experience
· Experience with very large data warehouse systems is a plus
· Well versed in industry standard architecture design methodologies and processes
· Strong written and oral communication skills

Education and Experience:
· Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Engineering
· Five plus years of experience using RDBMS technologies to build large-scale business applications
· Financial industry experience is a plus
