Senior Web Manager

Prominent New York City Non-Profit Organization is seeking Digital Project Management & Web Production support to cover for a maternity leave.

  • Serve as lead on web projects by coordinating internal and external stakeholders, managing timelines, and executing digital initiatives.

  • Oversee the Organizations new website launch, which includes coordinating with external designers and developers; testing functionality and site navigation, launching beta test and gathering feedback, and tracking post-launch analytics.

  • Work closely with internal staff on digital promotions for fundraising campaigns and communications initiatives around major Central Park programs and announcements.

  • Provide recommendations and work with website developers to implement CMS integrations for new digital products

  • Execute daily website maintenance; coordinate design and content updates, and work with departments within the organization to ensure accuracy of web content

  • Ensure that all website updates follow best practices and adheres to the organization’s style guide

Analytics

  • Leverage analytics to lead data-informed digital strategies and initiatives

  • Direct Conservancy staff on data collection and analytics; help interpret data and gather insights

  • Provide internal stakeholders with monthly updates on key metrics including website traffic, growth and profile of the email house file, fundraising, and other online activity, and suggest enhancements and/or modifications.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of 6-8 years related experience

  • Prior experience working with a CMS and websites

  • Understanding of usability, best practices and optimization for websites and email

  • Experience working with developers and strong understanding of project development cycles

  • Experience with a mainstream analytics platform like Google Analytics

  • Understanding of site and email analytics, how to interpret the data, report key metrics and recommend strategic actions

  • Understanding and experience with relational databases

  • Experience with Photoshop

  • An eye for good graphic design and attention to detail

  • Familiarity with modern web development frameworks and libraries

  • Ability to hand code and troubleshoot HTML/CSS, familiarity with Javascript a plus

  • Experience with Blackbaud Luminate Online and/or CraftCMS a plus
