Desktop Support Engineer (Greenwich office 5 days a week)

Top global hedge fund seeks a talented, energetic self-starter for a Desktop Support Engineer position. Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience supporting MS Windows Desktop/Server environments leveraging the latest tools and concepts in order to provide exceptional service delivery across the enterprise. The optimal candidate will be process driven and have a diverse technology background with a desire to learn and become the best. A basic understanding of financial markets and trade lifecycles is a plus. The candidate must be an exceptional problem solver and a very strong communicator with the ability to multitask.
As a Desktop Support Engineer you will:
- Provide Desktop Support globally in a fast-paced environment
- Installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of Windows 10, Windows 10 IOT and Linux (Thin Client) operating systems
- Assist in the administration of Active Directory, Exchange and Citrix Infrastructures
- Desktop trading software support (i.e. Bloomberg Terminal, Factset, Reuters, etc.)
- Move-Add-Change for new hires and visitors
- Troubleshoot issues with Microsoft Office suite
- Use Microsoft Active Directory, BeyondTrust (previous name “Bomgar”), PowerShell to solve issues and implement new technologies
- Basic Network Troubleshooting (DNS, TCP/IP, etc.)
- Solve issues with Citrix Receiver, Workspaces, VDI
- Implement and troubleshoot Cisco VOIP phones, Cisco WebEx Conferencing, Cisco AV technologies, Zoom Meeting, Zoom VC equipment
- Maintain documentation and enforce secure system policies
- Participate in an off hour on-call rotation

To be considered a good technical fit, you must have:
- BS Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field/technical experience
- Expert administration/engineering skills in MS Windows 10 OS technologies (AD/DNS/DHCP/GPO/DFS)
- Advanced knowledge in automating for Windows platforms leveraging PowerShell, ActiveBatch, and SCCM
- Strong technical ability and outstanding troubleshooting skills
- Experienced in supporting mobile devices on MDM platforms: iPhones/iPads/Androids
- Strong knowledge in virtualization technologies (Citrix, VDI, VDA)
- Strong knowledge of supporting MS Exchange infrastructure and associated archiving / security gateway products
- Strong knowledge of networking (TCP/IP), security and optimization
- Knowledgeable with Zoom, MS Team, Cisco WebEx Conferencing and audio/video conferencing systems
- Experienced with supporting users remotely by troubleshooting VPN/VDI/VDA connections
